CHAIN – replacing

See bottom of page for how to remove the FRONT SCREW of chain guard.

Rebel 500 chain is 520 x 112 links. You need a chain breaker and riveting tool. You need to remove the old chain and put on the new one.

The way I do it is break the rivet of the old chain, temporarily attach the new chain to it, and the pull the old chain around the sprockets to put the new chain in place.
