I put the ๐๐๐ถ๐ณ๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ ๐๐ต๐ผ๐ฐ๐ธ๐ on my 2017 Rebel 500. They do seem firmer than the original shocks and weigh 4% more, which sort of confirms the heavier springs.
๐ฌ๐ฒ๐ – if you are into hard cornering, especially if road is bumpy. ๐ฌ๐ฒ๐ – if you have preload at “5” and the shocks still bottom out. ๐ก๐ผ – for most people – if the old shocks were set on “5”, “2” to “3” on the newer shocks is similar.

Rebel shocks were improved for 2020. “Refined Rear Suspension for 2020 Rebel 300/500: The Rebel 300/500’s rear shocks are nitrogen filled, and have a stiffer spring rate, too.”
