The Rebel 300 engine has two cam-shafts (Double Overhead Cam), 4 valves, gear-driven counterbalance shaft, and is water-cooled. At one time, two camshafts, 4 valves, water-cooling, and 11000 rpm were not common for single cylinder bikes, other than for road racing. The Rebel 300 accelerates 0-60 mph in 7.85 seconds. It’s engine is a detuned version of the CBR300R which does 0-60 in 6.36 seconds.
