To mount Royal Enfield seat on 2017 to 2023 Honda Rebel 300/500
Parts needed: 1) Sentry Supply 650-6419 or 656-6419 U-Bracket (drilled, narrowed , and bent to fit), 2) one nylon spacer for the gas tank bolt, 3) two nylon spacers for the rear bolts, 4) two washers for the rear bolts, and 5) two M6 x 35mm rear bolts. … You will need: the stock M8 x 22 mm long gas tank bolt and the stock gas tank bolt washer that your Rebel came with, plus a 7/16″ or 8 mm Allen wrench. … Please use care: after you modify the bracket, it might have sharp edges.

step 1).. Drill top and bottom holes of U bracket out to about 10 mm or 3/8 inch
step 2).. Hacksaw top edge of U bracket to slightly less than 25mm (1 inch) wide – so it fits into the front of seat
Installation order: gas tank bolt, part B U bracket, part A spacer, original washer.
For step 3, you will need a 7/16″ or 8 mm Allen wrench
step 3) Put the gas tank bolt into the “U” bracket. The edge cut to 25 mm (1 inch) should face up. The gas tank bolt should face down and the open part of the “U” should face the back of the bike.
step 4) Add part A Spacer and the original washer onto gas tank bolt and install.
step 5) When the tank bolt is tight, bend the top part of the “U” bracket so the gap is 11 mm or 7/16″. It makes it easier to have a board that is 11 mm so you can use that to check the gap. The open gap should face the REAR of the motorcycle.
See above – you have to hacksaw the bracket and remove the cutoff pieces highlighted in yellow. The bracket is thick so that makes it harder. Or, if you have a grinder, you could grind it off – it doesn’t have to be perfect. Then you have to drill out the hole(s) so the gas tank bolt fits. … This is the most difficult part of installing the Royal Enfield seat.
step 6) Attach E, F, and G to rear seat tabs as shown below. It helps to put tape inside the spacers “F” so they don’t fall off while you are attaching the seat.
step 7) FIRST push the seat so that the seats front tab goes into the gap of the front bracket assembly. To make sure it is in, try to lift the seat in front – if correct, it will not lift. SECOND – attach the two bolts through the rear mounting tabs – the bolts do not go in straight – they must be at a slight angle leaned back – see photo #6.
