topic: To help prevent sliding back on the stock Rebel 300/500 seat.
Replace the two stock seat bolts with 35mm long bolts and add ½ inch spacers.
After this, the back of the seat will be ½ inch higher, so you will not slide back as easily.
Buy two 35mm long bolts (to replace the stock 22mm long bolts)
· Home Depot M6 bolt 801488 35 mm long – buy 2 quantity – you need a 10mm socket to install.
Buy ½ inch of spacers or washers per side.
· Home Depot spacer 814998 – buy 4 quantity. You need 2 per side – each spacer is ¼ inch high.
