There may be a subtle difference in tone, but basically ALL REBEL 500 EXHAUSTS SOUND THE SAME. They do vary in volume (loudness).
The stock Rebel exhaust is very high quality. Try hack-sawing and adding baffles to the stock muffler before you spend $400 on a muffler.
Improve the look of the stock muffler – add a logo ($2.80 USD) and paint the exhaust tip black (or hacksaw the muffler off 85mm from the end).
The point is is to improve the look and make it look different from stock.
Wish sells several different logos – I paid $2.80 USD shipped (each). For the muffler that I hack-sawed, I added two baffles to make it neighborhood-friendly.
Other ideas are to add chrome or stainless steel clamps to muffler – see photo below. Maybe painting the heat shield dark silver would work?
