TRAFFIC LIGHTS not triggered by your motorcycle
•Check your laws – some states allow you to go after you have sat through 2 or 3 cycles. Also at lights try to stop on the lines that go around the sensors.
•Put some strong magnets under your bike. Magnets should be strong enough to lift about 1 kg (2 lbs) or more.
•Put your sidestand down temporarily over the sensor lines.
I think the Rebel does not trigger traffic light sensors very well because it has no horizontal frame bars below the engine.
•Arkansas – If the light has a vehicle sensor, and it fails to detect your motorcycle, you can go. You must have come to a full and complete stop. You must exercise due care. Proceed with caution when it is safe to do so.

•California – can go after 3 light cycles.
•North Carolina – after 3 minutes waiting at a light, you can go when safe to do so.
•Oregon – can go after one complete cycle. Must proceed with caution. Must stop for any pedestrian before proceeding.

•Washington state – can go if it doesn’t change after a cycle or two – treat it like a yield light.
