Make sure the gas tank is full to prevent condensation in the tank.
Add a fuel stabilizer (such as Sta-Bil or Berryman B-12 Chemtool) to the tank. Run the bike for 4 or 5 minutes so the stabilizer mixes with the fuel.
Connect a battery tender and leave it connected all winter.
Cover the bike. Also, put something like an old piece of carpet under the bike – it helps keep moisture off the bike.
