Rear lights – Wiring

 

REAR WIRING 2017-2023 Rebel 300/500 (under seat to rear stoplight/taillight)

Brown – Running
Green+Yellow – Brake
Green – Ground
Orange – Left turn signal
Light Blue – Right turn signal

FRONT WIRING –

Orange/White striped– Left running

Blue/White striped – Right running

Orange – Left turn signal
Blue (or Light Blue) – Right turn signal

Green – Ground

°The first connector (light blue shell) on the RIGHT side of the headlight bucket is for the right turn signal/running light. The wiring is running = blue/white striped,  ground = green, turn signal = blue.

°The first connector (orange shell) on the LEFT side of the headlight bucket is for the left turn signal/running light. The wiring is running = orange/white striped, ground = green, turn signal = orange (wiring diagram says light blue).

The bullet connectors come in small, 3.5mm, used on a few models, and large, used on most Japanese/metric bikes/atv/buggies/etc. The labels for the large may be 3.8, 3.9, 4.0, or 3.9/4.0 but they are the same thing.
Which makes sense in light of the fact that every vendor that carried large & small carried only one large size, no one sold both 3.8 and 3.9/4.0.
